There is another Thiel in the area of rocket science: Adolf Thiel (born February 12, 1905, died June 2, 2001. He worked predominantly on the project “Wasserfall” (engl. waterfall). Adolf Thiel was a specialist working with Prof. Walther, TH Darmstadt, who did research for HVA Peenemünde. Adolf Thiel joined Wernher von Braun’s team in the USA, and as of 1947 he worked in Fort Bliss, Texas. Later he was project manager of the “Thor” rocket of the US Air Force.

Unfortunately, there are often cases of mistaken identity. Even in the
German Documents at the Deutsche Museum in Munich there is no distinction
between the two “Thiels”. For clarification purposes, here is a listing of
